Meat industry employees work to industry award or a certified agreement that was negotiated by AMIEU workplace representatives on the plant consultative committee as well as full time AMIEU officials.

In your section or department, there will be a union delegate and deputy delegate.   If you have a work related problem, these people are your contacts in the first instance and are only too happy to assist you.

If your union delegate structure is not yet established contact the union office immediately and arrange a meeting onsite to elect your own local union officials.
